Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 May 2026
1. Platform role
Asenati is a technology marketplace that connects clients with independent lawyers. Asenati is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
2. Lawyer relationship
When you book a consultation, the legal services are provided by the matched lawyer, not by Asenati. Any attorney-client relationship is between you and that lawyer, subject to their professional obligations.
3. Payments and refunds
Consultation fees are collected before dispatch. Refunds may be issued where a consultation was not delivered as agreed, subject to review of disputes and payment records. Asenati may retain platform fees as disclosed at checkout.
4. Acceptable use
Users must not abuse the platform, submit false information, harass participants, or use consultations for unlawful purposes. Asenati may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asenati is not liable for the quality of legal advice provided by lawyers, outcomes of matters, or losses arising from reliance on consultation content. Use the platform at your own risk.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes with Asenati should first be raised through the in-platform dispute process.
This is a product template for early-stage operation. Have a South African attorney review and customise these terms before production launch.
